Welcome to the MTA!

 

Midwest Taekwondo Association is an organization of Taekwondo Martial Arts schools located in Missouri.  

 

It began more than 20 years ago as a small organization of one school run by Dwane Doran, now 7th Degree master and president of MTA.  It has since grown to more than 15 schools across the state.  

 

Instructors are certified through a rigorous testing process separate from rank testing.  

 

 There is a basic curriculum that all affiliated schools base their instruction around.  Students are tested on technique and application throughout all color belts at their respective schools, often with guest judges from a neighboring school. At the black belt level, students are tested at an organization-wide test in either April or September.  

 

The MTA, although taekwondo focused, includes techniques from many other disciplines as well.  Individual schools may also offer additional training past the basic curriculum.  

 

In addition to tests, the MTA also hosts a camp in Branson every year in August.  It is three days of training and fun.  

 

The MTA is more than a group of schools, they are like a family.  Let us be your martial arts home.
